WELCOME TO NATURE CARE!

LIVE GREEN, BREATHE GREEN, GO GREEN

This website introduces two types of pollution; Air Pollution and Marine Plastic Pollution. Pollution is when a substance or an item can negatively impact or harm the environment. Not only does pollution affect the environment, but people and animal as well. It is statistically shown that pollution kills approximately NINE MILLION people and 100 THOUSANDS marine animals globally each year. This website not only educates about the topic but, as well, includes some more resources so that you can further learn about the topic, as well as solutions that you might consider incorporating into your daily lives to help the environment.

Air Pollution

Air Pollution are substances that contaminate the air. Breathing these substance such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, etc, can endanger our health, as well as animals and plants. We can breathe these particles both indoors and outdoors. Examples range from cooking in our stoves all the way to factories polluting the air.

  • Caused 11.65% deaths globally, where 4.1% of these deaths are indoor air pollution

  • Can get asthma, heart disease, lung cancer, and can damage the nerves, brain, kidney, and liver

  • 80% of air pollution is caused by machinery or cars

  • Gets in the way of plant growth

  • Affects animals environment, and food supplies.

  • Use public transportation or bike or walk

  • Plant more trees

  • Use energy saving Life Bulbs, which will produce less carbon dioxide

  • Less or no trash burning/ waste incinerator

  • Reuse and recycle

  • Turn off electricity, when it's of no use

  • Have proper ventilation

  • No smoking

  • Use an fan rather than air conditioner

  • Cold or warm showers or shower in less time

Marine Plastic Pollution

Marine plastic pollution are broken plastic that ends up in the ocean. This happens because the plastic are not thrown out properly and mostly littered. They are endanger to the wildlife. Statistically shown that 80% of ocean plastic pollution is from our daily uses, while the rest goes to landfills. The plastic kills marine animals.

  • eight to ten Million Tons of plastic pollution gets into the ocean yearly

  • There's around 50 trillion pieces of plastic in the ocean

  • Can disrupt the food chain

  • Experts states that by 2050, there would be more plastics in weight than fishes

  • At least 700 species are endanger of being extinct (mostly turtles around 86%) - which is a big problem since some Marine life provides us food and oxygen

  • 50% of producing oxygen comes from marine life or the ocean

  • Reduce the use of plastic (metal water bottle)

  • Recycle

  • Do beach clean up or just pick any plastic you see from the ocean

  • Avoid buying products that have microbeads
